Divorce is difficult for anyone, including child custody battles or other disputes. Many celebrities in Hollywood, have gone through difficult divorces characterized by scandals.
These are some of the 'ugliest' divorces in Hollywood
Jaime King and Kyle Newman
Jaime King, the star of "The Hart of Dixie", filed for divorce from Newman in May this year, after 13 years of marriage. For a time, police ordered Kyle Newman to stay 100 feet away from her.
According to US Weekly sources, King claimed that his ex-husband, who was also its director, was aggressive. She said she was experiencing repeated abuse.
Her allegations have been called false by Newman. He even accused her of using narcotics.
They have two grandchildren, James and Leo, for whom each tried to take custody, but their claims were denied.
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie
The actress filed for divorce in September 2016, after two years of marriage. Pitt faced charges of child abuse over an alleged incident with their then-15-year-old son Maddox aboard a private jet. The claims were pursued by the Department of Child and Family Services in Los Angeles. A long custody battle ensued for their six children, Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Vivienne and Knox. They reached a custody agreement in November 2018.
Janet Jackson and Wissam Al Mana
The "Rhythm Nation" singer and businessman got married in 2012 and started divorce proceedings in April 2017. The couple share son, Eissa Al Mana. In June 2018, TMZ reported that Jackson was concerned that her husband was using drugs in the presence of their son and sought full custody.
Johnny Depp and Amber Heard
Since June 2016, the ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ star and Danish actress are in the middle of a bitter battle in court. Shortly after she filed for divorce in May 2016 after 15 months of marriage, Heard accused Depp of being physically abusive and received a temporary restraining order against him. Depp and his lawyer have consistently denied allegations of Heard abuse.
Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale
The head of 'No Doubt' filed for divorce from the lead singer of 'Bush' in August 2015 after Us Weekly revealed that he had betrayed her for years with their former babysitter, Mindy Mann. They were married for almost 13 years, completed their divorce in April 2016 and now share joint custody of their three sons, Kingston, Zuma and Apollo.
Yolanda Foster and David Foster
The 'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' star filed for divorce from the music producer in December 2015. She was diagnosed with Lyme disease in early 2012, shortly after the couple got married in November 2011. Yolanda has since said they had fallen into crisis in their relationship as a result of her debilitating illness and has stated on many occasions that: " David never changed, I changed".
Christie Brinkley and Peter Cook
The divorce lawsuit between the model and the architect ended in October 2008. Cook admitted to cheating on his wife with his assistant and spent $ 3,000 on pornographic sites.
Robin Williams and Marsha Garces
The couple fell in love in 1989 when Garces worked as a nanny for the comedian's son, Zachary, but in March, after 19 years of marriage, they filed for divorce citing irreconcilable details.
Halle Berry and Oliver Martinez
Berry and Martinez met on the set of 'Dark Tide' in 2010. They told us about their secret engagement in January 2012. After two years of marriage, in the period when their son was born, they confirmed our separation in a statement joint, which read: "We move forward with love and respect for each other and shared focus on what is best for our son." Their divorce was finalized in December 2016.
