Singer Adele sparked speculation that she and boyfriend Rich Paul may be engaged when she appeared in Brit Awards on Tuesday with a pear-shaped ring by Lorraine Schwartz. The ring could not help but stand out because of its size and shine. The jewelry team told Page Six Style that the singer's earrings, which contain emeralds, weighed 50 carats - but declined to share further information about her ring.

But gemstone experts told the media that Adele's ring could be worth "approximately $ 1 million".

"It looks shiny on all sides and makes us believe it would be really high quality," says Rare Carat COO Apeksha Kothari, who rated the stone at 10 carats.

Mike Fried, CEO of The Diamond Pro, agreed that Adele's giant ring is "at least 10 carats", saying that a diamond of this size has taken a long time to be selected.

Olivia Landau, GIA-certified geologist and founder of The Clear Cut, shared a slightly more conservative assessment.

"Its stone appears to be about 5 to 7 carats in size," Landau said, adding that the diamond appears to be set in a thin band. "Depending on the quality, a similar ring can range from $ 250,000 to $ 500,000."

Lorraine Schwartz has created some of the most spectacular rings in Hollywood over the years. Who can forget the 15-carat, $ 2 million stone that Kanye West proposed to Kim Kardashian in 2013? Or the 18-carat emerald Beyonce got from her husband Jay-Z, which is said to be worth $ 5 million?
