A small change, but that still marks a great start for Saudi women. Until yesterday, for Saudi women, traveling alone was a dream, not achievable, unfortunately. In fact, the law required that all who wanted to travel could do so only if accompanied by male carers, such as a father, brother, or child.

At last this law no longer exists and Arab women will be able to move independently and alone. The provision, announced on August 2, 2019, will take effect 90 days after its publication in the Official Journal: Arab women will have to wait several weeks to see their dream of traveling alone, come true.

The law applies to all women who are 21 and introduces other interesting news, of achievements for the Arab female universe.

For example, they may obtain family documents, apply for a passport, and register divorces and births at institutions. All these activities before, were only possible in the presence of a man.

The reason it was decided to change this law is the fact that this country has often found itself in the midst of numerous international pressures with the aim of providing Arab women with equal rights as all other women of the world and of different nationalities .
