West End star Graham Martin was found dead at home.

According to reports, the 50-year-old actor, whose real name was Graham Reid, was found at his residence in Basford on May 1.

Reports suggest he had been battling pneumonia before he passed away.

He began his acting career in the 1990s and his theatrical performances included "Blood Brothers", as well as "Brighton Rock" and "Starlight Express" in London's "West End".

Playwright Tim Churchill, who worked with Martin on Blood Brothers for 11 years, was the one who notified police when he no longer heard from his friend.

Churchill, 49, told StokeOnTrentLive: "I was going to his house even though the place was blocked because I had a bad feeling. We were late because I had to get some things at the pharmacy, so I decided to call the police. ”

"It was not uncommon for him not to appear live on social media. So I informed the police. It was a big shock. "I spent the rest of the day calling everyone I knew who knew Graham because I didn't want him to be revealed on social media."

"Graham was a very talented actor and he had a big heart. He was one of the most professional people I've ever worked with. His work ethic was great and he brought a sense of fun to the dressing room." he concluded.
