150 children and 27 women. A record family that of Winston Blackmore, 64, who lives in Canada.
One of the many children, Merlin, 19, told what it was like to grow up in such a family on his TikTok account. Of the 27 mothers, only 22 had children with Winston, while 16 remained married to him, as Merlin points out. The son has seven siblings born to the same parents, while the other 142 have only the father.
The community is so large that the children have their own school. What do he call mothers? Merlin says that he calls his biological mother "mom", while for others he uses "mother + her name".
The father, in 2017, was sentenced to 6 months for polygamy.
Merlin no longer has a relationship with him, he lives in the United States and has decided to tell his story online: "I want to talk about him for years, now I can do it. "The world will know."
