As reports of new Omicron cases increase, the symptoms of this variant are milder and similar to the common cold.
Symptoms are such as blocked nose, headache, sore throat and sneezing.
Among the most common symptoms that have been reported are fever, sweating, tearing and body aches.
But recently some other signs have appeared:
New data have revealed that the Omicron variant affects the body in two new forms in addition to those already known.
Although Omicron is milder than other variants and most of those affected pass it easily, some patients have also experienced skin disorders.
Some of them are:
Redness of the skin and appearance of acne
Skin pallor
Eczema on the neck and chest
Inflammation of the skin on the toes
Cracks in the lips
Drying of the skin
The CDC warns that a change in the color of the skin of the lips and nails to a blue tinge could be an indication of low oxygen levels.
Also many of the above mentioned symptoms can be easily confused with those of allergy.
And it is no wonder that if you have recently noticed strange changes in the skin, they are the symptoms of the virus.
The advice given by health experts is that as soon as symptoms appear, perform the necessary tests immediately and receive treatment from your doctor if necessary./aw/
