Our daily habits can hide a universe of strange information that not everyone understands. The shower is one of the most relaxing moments of the day. There are people, even, who shower 2-3 times a day with very hot water. You may take a shower to forget your stresses and problems, but the sparks have another version. Taking a shower often is a sign of loneliness.
Maybe you didn't think about it, but loneliness and showering are related to each other. You probably don't agree, but you can't go against a spark right?
However, a recent study by a group of experts has revealed the connection between showering and loneliness. The first step of the study included 51 students between the ages of 18-25. They were asked to share their daily habits and write how lonely they feel. The survey included 3 questions about the shower routine - the researchers wanted to know the time they showered (morning, lunch or dinner), the temperature and the duration of this procedure.
The results showed that students who felt lonely showered 23% more than other students. They even wanted the water very hot. Why?
This is because hot water essentially replaces a real companion and dissolves the feeling of social isolation.
How does it look? Convincing or not?
