Actress Beatriz Alvarez-Guerra has lost her life in a tragic accident. The 28-year-old was traveling with her boyfriend four years younger, when their vehicle went off the road and ended up in the river.
The car is driven by the actress's partner, who reportedly did not have a license.
They were returning to Madrid after resting in Cotobade, Valongo. But their journey turned tragic after the vehicle went off the road and fell into the river Almofrei de Cotobade.
The photo shows the couple's car overturned in the water. The actress' boyfriend managed to get out of the vehicle and save her, but the 28-year-old did not have the same fate.
After escaping, the young man went to ask for help and some residents tried to get the actress out of the car alive, but despite their efforts they could not.
Alvarez-Guerra was pulled from the backseat after more than an hour by emergency services.
Her boyfriend will be investigated for manslaughter. He can be sentenced to up to six years in prison, according to the country's laws. He has been released, while investigations are expected to begin to determine the circumstances of the accident and the reason why he was without a license.
