A serious incident took place in Virginia, United States of America, where a 6-year-old child shot a teacher inside the school premises.
The fatal incident occurred shortly after 2 p.m. local time Friday at Richneck Elementary School in Newport News, Police Chief Steve Drew said.
The teacher, who is reported to be around 30 years old, whose name has not been released, was seriously injured.
The police are investigating for the full disclosure of the event and specifically how the child managed to enter the school premises with a weapon. Police said the shooting was not accidental.
The incident happened in the premises of the first class, while it is said that the child and the teacher had argued earlier. There were more than 500 students in the school, but fortunately no other people were injured.
