The eagles celebration by Jaca and Shaqiri has become a matter of day for sports and media in Switzerland, but also in Serbia. Politics has been separated from the world of sport because a part of it accepts but does not justify the gesture of two Albanian players. But the vast majority of sports, from the Football Federation to the Ministry of Sports, have expressed support for Jackie and Shaqiri. Peter Gillieron, the president of the Football Federation, said it was likely that this event would unite more the nation and the Swiss team. While coach Petkovic has talked to the players and the photos published in the media, he seems to have understood the feelings of football players originally from Kosovo. Even the Sports Minister, Guy Parmelin, stated that Switzerland is a country with many languages â??â??and cultures, and all of them coexist perfectly.
Meanwhile, FIFA has launched an investigation into two Swiss players of Albanian descent for the celebration of the goal. Xhaka and Shaqiri risk to be penalized with two games this World Cup.
But in addition to those divisions that seem to have turned more into political affairs, an unexpected reaction was that of the famous Swiss newspaper "Blick", which, in its post, supporting the two Albanian players, asked the followers to send to this redaksie picture with eagle:
" Send us a picture with the eagle symbol in the email [email protected] (mailto: redaktion @ blick or as a Facebook message. We are happy !" - says Blick.
All of Switzerland is in defense of the Albanians also for the fact that according to local media, the provocation originally came from former Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic, who learned to say that "it is unknown to whom we will play against the national team Switzerland, Albania or Pristina ... "
