The mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj and his wife, Ajola Xoxa, became parents for the first time yesterday. Today, at the launch of the Tirana Marathon, Veliaj has not missed and exceptionally wished successes to the participants, did not leave without mentioning the fact that he has become a father. He has said he will take part in the race but will run to maternity leave at Ajola and the boy.
"Many have asked me if I will take part in the marathon. I will also take part in the marathon, only to run for maternity, as I became a boy. Next time I'll be back twice in the race, "Veliaj said.
He also added that they have not yet decided to name the boy, but he is sure to be an Albanian name.
