After three years in the top list, "Sami Frashëri" descends from the pedestal as the best public gymnasium in Tirana. His seat for 2017-2018 is "Qemal Stafa", always listed as one of the best but never recognized by the chair. In the document provided by the newspaper, it turns out that just like last year "Ismail Qemali" and "Petro Nini Luarasi" have remained in the country, ranking respectively in the third and fourth places, followed by the middle, "Partizani" and "Sinan Tafaj", who, unlike the two aforementioned, have seen a growth performance, climbing two places from last year. At the end of the best gymnasiums in Tirana, there are schools "Abdullah Keta" and "Sandër Prosi", almost at the same level as before.

The average passage and average grade of the school, achieved at the State Matura exams, the level of achievements envisaged in the annual plan and the number of students who have won national Olympiads are the main indicators on the basis of which the performance of the gymnasiums of the country for ranked thirteen best, according to the table beside the script. While the former are easily legible and verifiable because they are taken from national data, the other two indicators seem to make the difference in the selection of the first five on the list, which is narrow. The implementation of the school's annual plan penalized with a "Sami Frashër" point, while other schools were rated maximally.
But it should be noted that the students of the latter are the ones who have won most of the Olympics. There are 53 Sami pupils, as well as all the schools together, which have been declared winners in competitions developed nationwide during 2017-2018.
But what has penalized "Sami Frasheri" in the rankings with five points less than "Qemal Stafa" ?! Although on a satisfactory level, her students at the State Matura exams did not perform any better than in the Olympics. Unlike the past few years, it has to be said that there is a change in school performance metrics. Percentage of passing and average grade in all years exams were summarized in two single columns, out of ten such this year. The list of indicators was also followed by a very important indicator: the difference between the evaluation of Matura exams and the evaluation of teachers. Also, the percentage of absent hours as well as of students dropped out of school after being enrolled. The Local Education Directorate annually compiles the performance of all schools, through the data that the executives start at each school start.
