Rama has long warned the creation of an anti-libel package, which aims to regulate online media in Albania as well. For this, Prime Minister Rama also warned of fines for false news.

The prime minister has warned that the government is preparing an anti-libel package, which has caused public concern. At the "New Agencies vs Fake News" conference, Rama said the time has come for fake lies and news to come to light by means of a legislation that has so far been "relaxed".

"The board of this authority must react promptly, as circulating and circulating false news circulated in Albania. There was "Fake News" that I made deals with Putin. But the government is ready to present the anti-libel package, even though we had a relaxed legislation. In the last 5 years, 20 thousand portals were registered. About 700 news portals are news, " said the premier, adding that most of them are unaware of who has it.

Rama stressed that for all false and false news there will be fines against portals. "The anti-libel package includes fines for false news and defamation. More than 600 online portals are illegal on the other. Establishing a clear rules game will be in the function of the situation and in improving the world of online media, certainly without prejudice to the fundamental freedoms of free speech and public information, "said Rama.
