Children change the rules of the game, no matter how old you are when you are born, but according to science, there is an age when it would be better to stay pregnant if you want your child to be very smart or talented.
Years are starting at 30.
The study, from the London School of Economics, studied the development of 18,000 British children in the first year of life. Conclusion? Women who had become moms in the 30s were usually smarter children, based on cognitive tests, compared to women in the 20s and 40s.
Here's why: First, 30-year-olds are more likely to be better educated, have higher salaries and have more consolidated relationships. They are also more prudent in pre-natal care and planning pregnancies, according to researchers.
So go ahead and keep this precious stone in your pocket so you can have it when your mother complains that age runs out. You're waiting for a smarter boy or girl, just that.
