Albania is officially participating in the Cannes Film Festival in the category of short feature films. It is the film "The Van", a co-production by the Albanian-French director of Erenik Beqiri, a film that resisted the selection between thousands, then hundreds and up to the shortlist (shortlist), in which they interpret Arben Bajraktari, Afrim Muçaj and 27-year-old French actor, Phénix Brossard. For this emotion of official selection of this film is also expressed one of its main actors, who said: "First I want to emphasize that I am very happy to be part of the prestigious Cannes Festival. It's the best thing an actor can do. I thank the director who gave me the opportunity to be among the main roles in this film and our work to be presented at this great festival, "said Afrim Muçaj.
Meanwhile film director Erenik Beqiri, a young age artist started writing scenarios and directing footage at the time of his studies, when he collaborated in three films, all of the short feature: "Alfonso", "Bon Appetit "And" The Van ", the first two with almost self-financing. For "Bon Appetit" was honored with two awards at festivals, in 2017 and 2018.
Meanwhile, "The Van" is his absolute success that made us feel proud as Albanians!
