Just a week after it was hit by fierce flames which caused much damage, another threat is near Paris's famous cathedral, Notre Dame. After the fire burning down a good part of it, experts warn of further damage if the appropriate measures are taken and in due course due to bad weather.

Tempered rains expected to start in the next few hours can be a serious threat to Notre Dame. According to forecasts by meteorologists, the weather for the coming days is not expected to be good for France, and even storm rains have been warned.

Experts have expressed concern that abandoned rains may cause further landslides to the cathedral. Notre Dame's chief architect, Philippe Villeneuve, told French BFMTV network that he would throw a tarpaulin on the open surfaces of the cathedral, which would be a "high priority" safeguard.

According to BBC's information, plans to open a large umbrella on the roof of the building, which will protect the cathedral throughout its reconstruction works.

But the umbrella is not yet ready and the threat of near rain is very serious.
