A variety of causes can lead to painful urination in men. Some of these reasons are:
Urinary tract infections: including urinary bladder and urethra.
Sexually transmitted infections, such as chlamydia, gonorrhea and herpes.
Prostatitis (when the prostate gland inflates).
Problems with the kidneys (like infection or kidney stones)
Reaction to soaps, perfumes or other personal care products
If you have a pain or a burning sensation when you urinate, visit a doctor. This is the only way to detect the cause, so you will also get the proper treatment.
