A court in Istanbul has finally taken the decision to convict a group of 13 defendants who were convicted of the use of narcotics a year ago. Among the group, the scandal included the actors Ã?aÄ?atay Ulusoy, known for the role of Sarpit in the series "Infiltruari", actress Gizem Karaca and singer Cenk Eren. The initial sentence was 4 years and 2 months, but now the court has reduced it to 10 months.

On Wednesday, Turkish media learned that the court not only lowered the sentence, but also delayed implementation with five years.

As learned, the actors were among the 34 arrested individuals in an anti-drug operation in Istanbul in January 2013 but were then released on parole. The trial lasted for more than six years.

Actors have dismissed allegations of drug trafficking, although some have admitted to using drugs.

27-year-old Ulusoy, one of the most famous Turkish serial actors, is currently running a serial for the "Netflix" giant. While actress and model Gizem Karaca is known for many roles, including "Love Without End".
