As usual, security always remains a major concern for Eurovision organizers. After two years of numerous security breaches in the grand finale of this competition, KAN and EBU are investing in additional resources to ensure that no incidents happen during these European Song Festival nights.
But as reported, two unauthorized men entered force at the Eurovision press center during the semifinals on Thursday, and damaged protective glasses.
According to the Swedish Aftonbladet portal, two men have reportedly been forced into the press center, near the stadium where the festival is being organized.
At first, people broke a chained fence about two feet high and entered the media area through an unattended exit. Two unidentified filmmakers filmed the press center before being questioned by the staff and immediately removed from the building.
Immediately after the incident, the staff assured that it would be "impossible" to enter the media area. Anyone trying to enter, passes a strict check, scans every object of anyone who passes there, but simultaneously passes through a metal detector.
The staff sees no danger to safety and guarantees everyone a safe end.
