On 7 February 2019, after 11 years of trial, the Romanian Supreme Court pronounced the conviction for Dragos Savulescu for committing a criminal offense of abuse of office and also a continuing collaborator in other crimes. Over the sentence of 5 years and 6 months imprisonment, and also a partial waiver of rights for the next 3 years.
Savulescu has falsified documentation about several properties, and also along with 32 other defendants, he has to pay about 7,000 euros in damages to the state. But for the time being, the billionaire has been announced by Romanian authorities on international search.
