Has it ever happened to you as you walk down the street to realize that you are moving faster than others? This can often make you feel a little uncomfortable making you different from others. Many times we do it without even realizing it because maybe at that moment we are in a hurry. Well, it may not necessarily mean a negative thing, it is actually good for your health

Walking faster than others will make you live longer. According to a study conducted by the University of Leicester, people who tend to walk faster than those who walk slower can live up to 15 years longer. A sample of 470,000 people with an average age of 52 found that skipping body weight is the life of those who walk faster.

Slow-walking men have a life expectancy of about 64.8 years, unlike fast-walking men whose lifespan ranges from 85.2 to 86.8. For slow-moving women, life expectancy is 72.4 years, unlike fast-moving ones, with expectations ranging from 86.7 to 87.8 years.

The author of the study, Professor Tom Yates, says that considering the longevity relative to each one's body weight, it can be deduced how important physical form is. The latter is actually more important as an indicator of health than the body weight index itself and life expectancy itself.

Perhaps now that you have learned about this study while you are reaching a walking place, you will try to walk faster.
