One of the most sensational and oldest hassles in showbiz history is that between two singers from Kosovo, Leonora Jakupi and Adelina Ismaili. Neither singer has ever spoken publicly about the subject, but in a recent Adelina interview the event has been brought back to attention. Invited to the "Pressing" show last night, Adelina has shown that she and Leonora have been supported by different political parties, which is why they have always been seen as opposed, even by the media. Asked whether they are rival or not, the singer has shown that she is not clear.
"Actually I don't know if we are rival or not. However, in my life I have never had any kind of jealousy for anyone, especially a girl like Leonora who has been to Koshare and sang for Koshare singers. I could never hate her, â?she said.
However, there was an incident between them in 2003, behind the scenes of a concert. The incident ended in a row between the two singers, who have yet to speak to each other.
"I still don't know what happened that night, though things have gone so far, but Leonora has attacked my mother. It was a tight wardrobe, a type of room. Leonora passed by and hit Mom as she screamed 'slowly my girl', because of the stress at that moment. Then she grabbed Mom by the throat and stepped in there to separate them, "Adelina said, adding with a laugh that everyone was asking about this.
Adelina has spoken of this event sportily and we do not know about Leonora, but it seems that everything is left in the past.
