Who does not succumb to the temptation of a fizzy drink from time to time. Although we have to admit that we like it, soft drinks are not at all healthy, not only that, but the danger that we did not even imagine.

A recent study has shown that just two cups a day significantly increases the risk of ischemia or the risk of digestive tract disease. The study was conducted with more than 450,000 people from 10 different European countries for 19 consecutive years.

Those who drank one or two glasses of fizzy drinks, regardless of type, are more likely to die from the disease than those who drank less than one glass per month. The people involved in the study did not have any illness before being taken for testing.

The study was published in the journal JAMA Internal Medicine and found that people who drank two or more cups a day were more likely to suffer from digestive disorder and ischemic stroke.

Experimental evidence has shown that high levels of sugar from these drinks, when added to the blood, can impede the gut muscles to act, damaging the digestive system's immune system and thereby increasing the chance of being affected by dangerous infections.
