We spend about a third of our lives sleeping, so sleep is an important part of our daily lives. Recent studies show that there is a link between the mother's sleeping position and the well-being of a baby. Due to changes in the body, the positions you sleep in may not usually be safe during pregnancy. If you are in sweet expectation we will show you some postures needed to sleep comfortably but without harming the baby:

Sleeping upside down

If you slept in the womb before pregnancy, you may continue to sleep in this position in the first months of pregnancy, as there is no evidence that you and your baby may have problems. However, after the first trimester, you simply will not be able to lie down again because of the abdomen, so enjoy this position sleep in the first trimester.

Sleeping on one side

This is the safest position for you and your baby. It enables good blood flow and does not exert pressure on the internal organs. Although both sides are certain, it is suggested to choose the left side for several reasons.

-Reduces the risk of stillbirth.

-Helps your kidneys get rid of waste products and liquids.

Tips for a Better Sleep During Pregnancy

-Place pillows behind you to prevent falling on your back.

-Many mothers find it more comfortable to place a pillow between the legs as it holds the legs parallel and supports the hips, pelvis and spine.

-If you suffer from heartburn at night, putting extra pillows on your head will help you a lot.

-Do you sleep during the day, pay the same attention to the position as you do at night.

Avoid position on your back

Sleeping on your back during pregnancy is not as safe as before as your baby's weight and abdomen put pressure on your internal organs, causing difficulty in blood flow to the placenta.

This is why choosing a different sleeping position is safer for the mother and her baby.
