Falling eyelashes is something that no one likes. We can even say that it is even more worrying than hair loss. We may all have been worried about this, but there are times when this is more than just an aesthetic problem. Falling eyelashes can herald health problems that you didn't even think about.

Some of the problems associated with eyelash fall are:

Alopecia. Falling eyelashes can result from alopecia or another autoimmune disease. This condition prevents hair growth on your body, head or face. Doctors believe that the disease causes the body to attack the hair follicles.

Chronic inflammatory diseases. Similar to alopecia, chronic inflammatory diseases are cases where the body "attacks" itself.

Thyroid problems. The thyroid controls the production of the body's hormones, but sometimes higher or lower levels cause few problems. Both hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism can cause this problem.

Inflammation of the tear gland. Blockage of the tear glands leads to a chronic inflammation of the eyelash follicles causing the latter to fall. In the first case you notice redness or tingling, burning or itching, treat the problem in time before it can cause other concerns.

Bad habits of beauty. When brushing your eyes do not apply force when using cotton, as this damages the roots of the eyelashes by causing them to fall.
