The new series of banknotes 200 and 5000 are expected to be released today, while the old coins will remain in circulation to be withdrawn from the Bank of Albania gradually when damaged and unusable.

Bank of Albania announces new banknotes denominations are part of the series, 500, 1000, 2000 ALL. The banknotes have a different denomination, while the historical figures placed on them are the same.
