Heeeeyyy !! Welcome back to Loyalthy. I am very happy to be back in this category that I adore and wish you as well. If you're new here and this is the first Loyalthy article for you, here's a mini presentation:

I'm Adel, an enthusiast of fitness, healthy living and everything that comes with it. Over the past year, every Friday I have shared in Loyalthy x Magazine Class a lot of experience and tips on many of these topics. I can't lie that I adored this, and especially after the thank-you messages, I felt Loyalthy did the right thing. But we all need a little rest and here's the comeback!

What is Intermittent Fasting?

This article is about the famous "diet": Intermittent Fasting. I put it in quotes because I'd better call it lifestyle. And I would never advise you on temporal diets where everything you do will suffer for a few days \ weeks and regain everything you lost immediately afterwards. Our body is not a fast-paced game and will never be. However, Intermittent Fasting is an experience that will lead you to your goals healthily and at the same time make your body function better and boost metabolism.

That being said, Fasting is something healthy for our body. Fasting means not consuming food (as we fast) for a few hours a day strictly, mostly evening hours until morning or morning. Some of us do Intermittent Fasting unconsciously, based on their daily routine. So here's the proof why this is not just a diet, but a lifestyle, perhaps periodic and very easy to follow.

From my experience:

For over a year, my routine has changed for the better when I consciously and planning, I introduced IF. There has been nothing very different from my normal in fact. Just one more reason not to eat too late at dinner and a little more patience for the morning meal. But after the first week passes, I don't even notice it, you get used to it. And let's not forget the fact that you are helping your metabolism with more time for rest and relaxation. I have personally used the help of an app that reminds me of how many hours I am fasting.

Why is IF "healthy"?

It is scientifically proven that IF has many fantastic benefits for the body and mind. This method greatly helps in overweight, combats the risk of Type 2 Diabetes, heart disease and cancer. And some studies even say that by making a lifestyle you will live longer. And there are many reasons to believe this, believe me.

Types of Intermitent Fasting:

- Method 16/8 (8 hours food window, 16 hours not eating)

- The 5/2 Diet (5 days IF and 2 regular days without any rules)

These are the most famous ways. I say this because, believe me, you don't have what you want to know. But what I would suggest is always 16/8. And especially if your main goal is to fall off the paces.

Which is the best option for you?

As I said choose 16/8. But start it gradually. So: let the first 3-5 days be 10/14 (where 10 hours don't eat and 14 yes). Then the next 12 days 12/12 and finally stabilize to 16/8. What should you consider? Nothing more than 16 hours of fasting should be anything but water, tea or coffee (no sugar). For the rest of the hours ?! Everything you want, but consciously. Control your appetite, especially in the early days.

PS:

If you have read this far, thank you very much for your respect. To thank you I decided to make Loyalthy more intense this season with no more articles every Friday, but also on Tuesdays. I know that all of us nowadays do not have the time to spend reading articles, however valuable and informative they may be. That is why I wish that the following articles were not only written, but especially with videos. But here I need you. Write to me on my personal Instagram what you would like to follow in the next articles. My pleasure, always.

Hard to get back on track?

Well here's another exciting challenge for you babe.
