From monitoring ovulation to taking the right supplements, pregnancy can be a complicated process. But does it matter when you should try this process?
We know that there is a time when the chances of fertility are higher until the next period and it is the time of ovulation that lasts three to five days.
But what is the best time of day to get pregnant?
One study found that having sex in the morning, just before 7.30am, would increase your chances of getting pregnant. The quality of sperm in this schedule is much higher than during the rest of the day. This was especially true in March, April and May.
However, a team from the University of Modena found that the highest quality and quantity of male sperm is at its highest during the afternoon. If you also considered that most women ovulate around dinner hours, then this would be the best time to get pregnant.
With testosterone levels in men rising significantly between 06:00 and 9:00 and lust reaching its peak between 10:00 and 1:00, you have some good opportunities to try getting pregnant.
Since it can be difficult to remember ovulation days, if your periods are irregular, it is ideal to have sex with your partner every day or every night to increase your chances of getting pregnant. Remember, sperm is more produced and stays longer in a healthy body, so you will need to quit smoking and alcohol, and consume healthy groceries if you plan to become pregnant. Most importantly, remember to have fun and do not turn sex into a routine.
