Who remembers Princess Charlotte and Prince George's first day of school? If not we are reminded that they were photographed as they went to school accompanied by parents and dressed in uniforms. Here's a picture of Princess Charlotte shaking her hand with the teacher.
In fact, this photo was prompted by a radio presenter being summoned by Kate and William to "catch their ear" for a comment made during a 'live' broadcast. When she saw the pictures, the presenter laughed, saying it must be a beautiful thing to shake hands with the teacher, as Princess Charlotte did. Rather, his comment was as follows:
â??Who the hell shakes hands with the teacher on the first day of school? That was not the case when I was in school. We would be happy if they gave us a smile. â?
Unfortunately for the presenter, Kate and William listened to his comment and did not feel well, especially about the vocabulary James used when referring to their daughter. A few weeks later, when James was invited to Kensington Palace, they did not spare a remark.
"They were listening to me that day when Charlotte went to school and they said, 'If we were listening to Charlotte's first day of school and we want to talk to you about that handshake. And I said, 'Oh, God, no!' "He told the Mirror.
Likewise, James does not think the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge resent the incident.
