Among the victims identified by yesterday's earthquake is a ballerina working at the "MiraMare" hotel in Durres. She is Evi Kardashi, who was brought to life by search and rescue teams yesterday after the hotel collapsed completely from yesterday's seismic shakes.
The deceased remained inside the hotel for hours until he was pulled out of the wreckage after hours of searching.
Evi was said to be from Tirana and residing in the area of "Astir" in the capital, while witnesses said her apartment had been demolished by the New Ring project.
In statements made yesterday about the demolition of the Durres hotel, a witness said: "The owner of the 'Mira Mare' restaurant has been thrown out of the ashtray. it seems to me that there are also two ballerinas from Korça, one of whom was pronounced dead. The girl who was found dead was said to be a waitress, residing in Astir in Tirana and demolishing her home. A bartender from Fier escaped. This rescued boy was in room 101. The hotel was open 24 hours.
