According to a study, 1/3 of men think that it is unprofessional for girls to talk about periods in the workplace. A study conducted in the UK with 2000 office workers found that 32% of men felt that the issue of periods was inappropriate to discuss in the office. While half of the women and girls admitted that they felt embarrassed even when they brought out the hygienic napkins in the eyes of their male colleagues. Then let's not talk about periodical discussions. According to the study, it was better for them to discuss any topic other than them.

Tina Leslie, founder of Freedom4Girls, said girls should not suffer in silence, especially for something as natural and normal as periods. She adds that it is disappointing that in 2019, 1/3 of men think it is unprofessional to talk about periods.

But why this attitude on the part of men?

According to expert and psychologist Niels Eék, men do not want to hear about periods, as it is something unknown to them. Thus, he adds that talking about something we do not know and have not experienced causes stress, fear and anxiety.
