Why you should never talk on the phone while in the elevator

We all know that a lift is not the best place to talk on the phone. This is because the signal is not strong and we may not hear well. However, there are often times when we do this, but you should know that poor telephone connection is not the only reason you should not use your phone while in the elevator or elsewhere where the waves are weak.

When the cell phone is unable to receive a good signal from the base station or is out of range, it emits its signal, meaning it emits more radiation so you can talk. This is more common in concrete or steel structures, but also in elevators, basements and underground garages.

Cell phones radiate two to three times more in places where there is a weak signal, so it is recommended to avoid using it in elevators, basements and other areas where the waves or signal tend to leak more.
