
Joaquin Phoenix, the actor who plays the lead character in the much-hyped 'Joker' movie, has been arrested during climate change protests. Just days after winning the Golden Globe, Phoenix has been handcuffed along with actor Martin Sheen, as well as 145 other people, during Friday's protest.
In his address to protesters, Phoenix spoke about the effects of the meat and dairy industry on climate change.

In a police statement, 147 protesters were arrested for illegal demonstration.
Since October, Jane Fonda and other actors such as Sam Waterston, Ted Danson, Rosanna Arquette, Sally Field and Catherine Keener have been arrested for civil disobedience after seeking a new deal on the 'Green New Deal' environment.
This week, Phoenix took part in the protest, standing by Fondas.
Phoenix became famous with his starring role in 'Jocker'. Just a few days ago he received the Best Actor Award at the 'Golden Globe'.
