After a long day of work, do you deserve a reward (a warm shower) or not? However, sometimes you are too tired to dry your hair after showering, so choose to sleep with damp hair. You've probably heard that sleeping with wet hair is one of the most "serious" mistakes you can make. However, famous hair stylist Kristen Shaw explains to us why sleeping with wet hair can be good for some hair types (as long as you wash them properly).

Here's what you need to know about this "rule" of everyday beauty:

Sleeping with wet hair is really a bad thing or is it just a beauty myth?

Shaw says it's a beauty myth, "Depending on the type of hair, sleeping with wet hair can actually strengthen the hair and make them wavy."

However, Shaw points out that sleeping with wet hair does not suit every hair. For example, girls with thick hair are not suggested to sleep with damp hair.

Girls with curly hair should apply this method: Shower and wrap their hair with a towel. In the morning they will wake up with curls that are too painful to make.
