We are all convinced of something: diets do not work the same, for all bodies! Weakness is often not just a matter of will, there are many factors that influence the desired results! Losing extra pounds is challenging enough to force you to go out on your own to get to the ideal body shape, but be careful! There may be some simple, seemingly insignificant mistakes that directly affect your inability to lose weight. We think it's worth listing these five mistakes that we all make when we follow a certain diet, or when we want to lose weight by other methods and find that everything is a "mission impossible"! Attention everyone!

1. Waiting for weight loss you do nothing

According to a recent study, you can lose five to ten percent of your weight with any type of diet, but that weight comes back, explains Traci Mann, author and UCLA associate professor of psychology. The number one reason is that 90% of people fail their diets because they expect this quick victory to turn into long-term weight loss. The truth is that there are no quick fixes when it comes to losing weight and maintaining it.

2. Lack of physical activity

The same study conducted by UCLA also found that those who wanted to lose weight did not do any physical activity, such as exercising in the gym or walking in nature, nothing! And that's wrong!

3. Restricting all "bad" foods

While it is a good idea to start consuming broccoli, it does not mean that you should stop eating black chocolate. Once you start your diet, you will quickly feel the weight loss, and this is because your metabolism starts to slow down after losing weight. Your body will go to what is known as a "starvation state". Ideally, you don’t want to limit your body too much, but choose to lower your calorie intake, so it’s a gradual weight loss.

4. Not checking the size of the portions

Over the past 30 years, the size of the portion has increased. While what you are eating is healthy, the amount you can eat can shift calories to much higher consumption than you realize. Try using an app like MyFitnessPal to keep track of the amount of everything you eat.

5. To believe that one diet suits everyone

There's no way that suits everyone, that's why we've compiled a list of what diets work and who they suit. Keep searching for the best diets to lose weight and find what is right for you.
