A recent study has shown that the number of sexual intercourse among young people is decreasing, and the reason for this is worrying!

Australian teens are having sex less than half the time their parents do, due to social media, online dating apps and pornography, according to experts.

According to Iconstyle and the Daily Mail, about 40% of people between the ages of 18 and 24 have never had sex. 15% have sex once a month compared to the age of 40 to 49, 30% of whom have sex once a month, according to the Australian Talks survey of 50,000 people.

Sexologist Jacqueline Hellyer said teenagers are replacing real dating with online and may lose the ability to communicate face-to-face.

Susan Tuckwell, a sex therapist in Sydney, said online porn is changing the way people approach sex.

She said some people "can only be excited by pornographic images", while others cannot expose their relationship from the digital to the real world.
