As early as 2014 a group of researchers from the University of Leeds in England proclaimed the shocking truth that hand dryers have nothing 'sanitary' in their operation, but not many paid attention.

They said that the tools considered 'modern' dispersed the bacteria from the washed hands of people on all the surrounding surfaces, to such an extent that people came out of the toilet less dirty than when they entered.

In laboratory experiments with conditions recreated as in public toilets, it was found that there were 27 times more bacteria in the air than in toilets where only toilet paper was used, and these microbes circulated for about 15 minutes longer.

Researchers have already returned with further evidence against air hand dryers as experiments were carried out in hospital baths, where the issue is even more serious.

The experiment was conducted in the toilets of hospitals in Leeds, Paris, and Udine, Italy, over a 12-week period, compared to those using toilet paper and air dryers.

And the results were the same: In Udine the toilets were 100 times more bacteria-filled, in Paris they were 33 times more than paper-only toilets, and in Leeds 22 times more.

In British public baths, the infamous methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) microbe was three times larger than in toilets where only toilet paper was used. penicillin and cephalosporin resistant bacterial species were found in much larger quantities where the dryers were used.
