Caroline Flack's family has published a letter the presenter intended to post on Instagram shortly before she committed suicide. She was found hanging in her apartment on Saturday. In the unpublished message, she recounts how her life was completely changed after she was arrested on charges of assaulting her partner, Lewis Burton, in December last year.

Flack's mother has indicated that Caroline was advised not to publish the message, which is now set to be made public by the Eastern Daily Press.

As it is known, Flack and Burton had a debate and due to the presenter's aggravated emotional state an accident occurred. She was arrested on charges of domestic violence. The trial was expected to be held in March, though her boyfriend did not want the case to continue. They were also commanded to stay away from one another.

Caroline's message read, among other things:

â??I've accepted the shame and toxic opinions in my life for over 10 years, telling myself that it's part of my life. I'm not complaining! The problem with hiding things under the carpet is that one day someone will raise that carpet and you will feel embarrassed and ashamed.

On December 12, 2019, I was arrested on charges of assaulting my boyfriend. Within 24 hours, my world and my future passed under my feet and all the walls I had built up could be torn down. All of a sudden I'm in another country and everybody's watching what's happening.

I always kept those responsible, even for what happened that night. But the truth is ... it was an accident. I have long had emotional problems. But I'm not violent. We had a debate and there was an accident. What someone sold to a newspaper was something of mine and it is very sad and very personal.

The reason I'm talking today is because my family can no longer afford it. I lost my job, home and ability to talk. The truth was taken from my hands and used for fun.

I can't spend every day in hiding and being told that I can't talk to anyone. I feel very sorry for my family, for what I have caused you, and sorry for what my friends have had to go through.

I'm not thinking how to get my career back. I'm thinking how to restore my life and my family. "

After Flack's death, her management company said that after the arrest, the presenter was under intense pressure and had been criticized by the Croatian Prosecution Service for refusing to stop the case, despite Burton's request.
