At the close of Milan Fashion Week, Giorgio Armani has canceled the show's fall-winter 2020 collection. While numerous Chinese stylists, including Ricostru, Angel Chen and Hui have not been present at Milan Fashion Week, Armani is the first Italian stylist to make this decision because of the situation in the country.

The brand has announced to the public that the collection will be presented "behind closed doors" on a vacant lot and everyone can follow the live stream on Armani's official website or on the brand's social media channels.

"This decision was made for the safety and well-being of the guests, not being required to be present in highly populated places," said a well-known brand PR representative.

The decision came after the announcement of Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte, who unveiled a plan not to spread the virus. Currently in Italy the number of people infected with coronavirus has reached 79, while 2 people have died. More than 50,000 people in Lambardi and Veneto are quarantined, with schools, public offices and many activities closed.
