The Minister of Health and Social Protection has officially responded to suspected cases of coronavirus in Albania. According to the Ministry, of the 8 cases that were suspected to be infected, none resulted positive.
The Ministry of Health states that following the identification of the health situation with the presence of coronavirus in Italy, measures are being continued at border crossings, as well as the reinforcement of case tracking to increase control for preventing the penetration of coronavirus COVID-19.
Meanwhile, representatives of the Task Force have also called on citizens to be alert to respect hygiene and sanitation measures.

In our country so far there is no confirmed case of Koronavirus COVID-19, 8 cases have been tested which after testing have been negative. The WHO Certified Laboratory of Virology at the Institute of Public Health is now carrying out a full confirmatory diagnosis of coronavirus COVID-19.
Following the identification of the health situation with a community-based presence of coronavirus in Italy, measures are being continued at border crossings, the provision of increased quantities of personal protective equipment, the reinforcement of case tracking to increase the control for preventing the penetration of COVID- 19.

The Task Force stressed that the default measure for self-quarantine of persons coming from countries with community outbreaks of the virus should continue.
Also, as has been suggested, the quarantine site has already been designated if needed, which is a hospital facility, also assessed by the technical committee, that meets all standards set by the WHO.
The Ministry of Health and Social Affairs and the Task Force on Preventing the Spread and Spread of the New Coronavirus Recommends All Citizens Who Traveled From Affected Countries to Call National Emergency Number 127 in the event of any concern or clinical signs, without going straight to the hospital.
