The US Embassy in Tirana has decided to cancel all non-immigrant visa interviews by April 3, 2020, as part of measures taken to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
In a Facebook post, the Embassy says it will only process emergency non-immigrant visa applications, while Immigrant Visa processing and services for US citizens will continue uninterrupted.
Also the US Embassy has decided to postpone or cancel all future public activities and meetings until April 3, 2020.

In support of the Government of Albania's efforts to prevent the further spread of COVID-19 by restricting public gatherings and practicing distance between persons, the US Embassy has canceled all pre-scheduled interviews for Non-Immigrant Visas by April 3, 2020 During this time, the Embassy will only process urgent Non-Immigrant Visa meetings. Immigrant visa processing and services for US citizens will continue without interruption. In line with the Government of Albania's efforts to reduce the spread of COVID-19, the US Embassy has decided to postpone or cancel all future public activities and meetings until April 3, 2020.
