Today it is announced that the architect, painter Max Velo, has passed away at the age of 84.
Max Velo was born in Paris on August 31, 1935. After his birth, the Velo family returned to Albania, to the city of Korça, where Max spent his childhood. The place of origin of the parents was Dardha. After graduating from high school, he continued his studies at the Polytechnic Institute, majoring in Civil Engineering.
He then specialized in architecture and in 1960 took part in the first design that took place in Tirana. He further worked at the Tirana design bureau. Then, the years '78 -'79 coincide with the most difficult period of his life, as during this time, he is arrested and sentenced to ten years in prison.
Max Velo is the author of a number of publications such as: "Headache", "Prison coat", "Prison bag", "Parallels for architecture", "Anti-sign time", "My life in figures" etc.
