Today is the Night of Power, and according to Islam, fasting on this day is considered valid for a thousand months. For this reason, there are countless people who fast today, far more than those who fast during the month of Ramadan.

The Night of Power marks the revelation of the Qur'an on earth and the beginning of the writing of the holy book. According to clerics, fasting and prayers to God on this day determine a person's destiny and life over the course of a year. Thousands and not only Muslim believers are thought to fast on the day of Qadr.

What should you eat tonight?

Laylat al-Qadr is a special night for all those who seek it and aim to benefit from its blessings. This is a night of worship, obedience to God, prayer, recitation, remembrance, prayer, almsgiving, good deeds, and so on.

Tonight iftar starts at 8:15. Regarding the foods you should consume tonight, there are some features.

1. Start with iftar with arabica dates. Not only are they a symbol throughout the Ramadan period, but they are also one of those types of foods that create the feeling of satiety. They do not contain a lot of sugar, but they have a kind of sugar that does not make the stomach and makes it easier to accept food. There are 260 varieties of dates, of which those that are soft and moist are preferred.

2. After consuming persimmon, a glass of water is recommended. The reason here is very simple. Since 70 percent of the body is made up of water, this body need is among the first. Water is consumed immediately after it fills the body percentage after a long absence. It is said that water is served immediately with the idea of wetting the veins.

3. Other light foods (various soups, salads), but to the extent that 2/3 of the stomach is boiled, because 1/3 of it should be empty. It is never advisable to overdose during iftar because it is harmful to the stomach.

4. Cooking a traditional dessert, which is usually halva. Sweets, but also fruits, are advised to be consumed no later than one hour after dinner, so as not to overload the stomach. Tonight, sweets and fruits are advised to consume after 9:30.
