Facebook and Google will keep working remotely a viable option. This is a lesson for any business
If weâ??ve learned anything in recent months itâ??s the volume of work that can be done even outside the office. This is really something surprising.
Major tech companies, for example, have sent their employees home to work remotely, and yet Facebook has not stopped working. Apple, meanwhile, has managed to introduce several new products. People are still searching for billions of answers on Google.
All of the above companies are not small if we consider how much work is done to keep the technology we use in operation. But if technology colossi can work remotely, you may be surprised at your teamâ??s performance.
The big question is what will happen when the pandemic ends? Whatever happens, the way we work has officially changed. The key is for us to line up thinking that working from home is a temporary solution and, instead, to change our mind about a completely remote structure.
That makes us think of big companies again. Facebook said it will give employees the opportunity to continue working remotely until the end of the year. Google announced the same. Microsoft stated that employees can work remotely at least until October.
Below are three reasons why you should consider working remotely as part of your way of doing business.

Of course, some work cannot be done remotely. For example, repairing broken pipes in someoneâ??s home basement. But chances are there may be a lot of things your team can do while working remotely.
Your job is to understand how to prepare your employees for success. You may be surprised, in many respects, to see that employees are actually more productive when you stop measuring their activity and instead focus on the outcome of the work. Among other things, the resilience to program work at the moment when employees are better off, rather than when the work schedule starts, means more productivity.
talent
Itâ??s obvious, but they have to bring to mind that another motive why itâ??s worth considering distance work is talent. There are many people who would be perfect to work in your company but would not be willing to transfer for a job in the office. Working remotely opens the door to these candidates and saves the company a number of costs for their transfer.
Pleasure
By giving employees the opportunity to work remotely, you give them more control over creating an environment that suits them best. This is especially true when many employees are unsure that an office is the place they would like to be if their safety and health are not guaranteed. In the long run, the most satisfied employees are also the most productive employees. And that is a victory for everyone.
