Red lipstick is one of those beauty products that can really transform your face. This timeless color has been a symbol of power, class, elegance and freedom. Unlike other products, it is versatile, as it works for any occasion. But no matter what the case, you can be sure that the red lipstick will draw all the attention to you.

But applying it is not easy. Here are some tips to help you keep your eyes peeled:

1. Choose the shade of red lipstick according to your skin color.

For lighter skin tones up to pink ones, itâ??s best to see something closer to raspberry red. On the other hand, if the skin tone is warm, it is better to choose red with a shade of orange.

2. Mix different shades of red.

Red has different shades. If you are looking for a completely new and unique shade, try mixing some of the red lipsticks you already have at home.

3. Avoid shiny lips.

For a lasting effect, place dry lipsticks on those glossy ones as they are easily erased and do not last.

4. Remove dry skin from lips.

Be sure to remove any dry skin or dirt in advance using a natural exfoliant. You can use a mixture of sugar and honey or sugar and olive oil. Mix the ingredients, massage the resulting oil into a circular motion using your fingertips, rinse and then apply some moisturizer.

5. Contour the lips, then carefully fill them.

Lip contouring is an important step that many people take. Start by forming an "X" at the top, then continue contouring along the lip line and finally fill in the rest. All of these steps must be performed using the same pencil. This will make the composition last longer.

6. Apply red lipstick with a lip brush.

While it may be tempting to apply lipstick directly to the lips, using a lip brush will give you the perfect results you had in mind when you first planned your outfit.

7. Remove excess.

The lipstick should stay on the lips, not on the glasses you drink from (or the kissing cheeks). Be sure to remove excess makeup with a napkin so that the color does not stick to the teeth, glass or silver dishes when eating.

8. Do not overdo it with eyebrow pencil and brush.

Choose a more delicate style for the rest of the face, especially for the eyes. Use only eyebrow pencil and a thin brush to draw as little attention to them as possible.

9. Make lips and nails combine.

Classic red goes best when used on both lips and nails, so remember to apply red nail polish on your nails to complete the look.

10. Choose an outfit that highlights your face.

When choosing clothing, try to use neutral colors (like beige, white or gray) to make your face the center of the look. Black dresses and red lips are a perfect combination. This may be why it is a classic outfit and resists time. Avoid colors that rival red.
