The Serbian football player of the famous football club in America, LA Galaxy, Aleksandar Katai, was expelled from the team for some racist posts of his wife on social networks.

The Los Angeles Galaxy team announced the decision to terminate the contract with the Serbian football player on Friday, through a press release.

Alexander Katai's wife, Tea Katai, posted photos of the protests in America on Tuesday, and Galaxy condemned the posts as "racist and violent." Police in riot gear stormed a rally on Friday, removing hundreds of protesters by truck. Police in riot gear stormed a rally on Friday, removing hundreds of protesters by truck.

Another post showed a person of color holding some Nike boxes and she wrote, "Black Nike matters."

Footballer Aleksandar Katai held a meeting with Galxy on Thursday and did not support his wife's posts, saying they are not views that he supports and does not tolerate in his family.

Katai fans immediately reacted to the issue and demanded his removal. Many fans gathered outside the club's stadium with placards reading, "We don't want racists in our club."

On Thursday, he posted on Instagram, calling his wife's posts "a mistake from his family" and saying he would take on all the responsibilities. He apologized for the pain caused to the LA Galaxy family and their supporters in this fight against racism.

Katai joined the LA Galaxy club in December and played just two games before the pandemic blocked everything, but he was seen as a very important player in the face of well-known team names such as Javier "Chicharito" Hernández and Cristian Pavón. Now his chance to excel at the famous American club has faded.
