The easing phases that have recently been taken by all governments after the Covid-19 pandemic have actually brought back the concern that we may be affected or may be at risk of a second pandemic wave. Currently, in our country, the numbers of those affected in recent days have been worrying and increasing. But is this the second wave of pandemic? Will it be more dangerous than the first?

The fear of a second wave of the disease continues to be present, reinforced by warnings from health authorities around the world awaiting its arrival in the fall. However, some experts in Italy see little light at the end of the tunnel. The president of the Supreme Council of Health in the neighboring country, Franco Locatelli, stated that most likely, the second wave will be milder than the first.

" We have to be prepared for the arrival of a second wave of infections, which, if it really comes, I don't believe it will have the size and strength of the first one, " Locatelli said.

His statement comes at a time when John Hopkins University in the United States has announced that more than 7 million people worldwide have been infected. In Italy, meanwhile, the Gimbe Foundation has sounded the alarm, because in regions where the virus circulates more, fewer tampons are being made.
