Google has removed the "Zynn" video application from the "Apple Store" due to allegations that it has stolen content from other applications.

The TikTok-style app offers money for users who record and watch videos and has become one of the most downloaded apps in the US.

But social media influencers claim their videos are being reposted without permission.

Zynn said it had launched a new method for users to report plagiarism.

The popular video platform is funded by Kuaishou, the Chinese rival to the owner of TikTok ByteDance.

Zynn became officially available to users for the first time in early May.

Users make money on the app by watching videos and inviting friends to sign up.

Profits can then be used to buy gift cards, or transferred via PayPal.

The appâ??s guidelines prohibit users from posting â??anything you donâ??t own or donâ??t have permission from the owner to shareâ?.

Google has removed the app from the Play Store, although the tech giant has not yet confirmed why.

An Apple spokesman said the company was "investigating" the app, which is currently still available in its app store.
