"Thank you @barbrastreisand for my package, I'm now a Disney shareholder thanks to you," the 6-year-old said on Instagram on Sunday. Included were photos of Gianna showing a letter and a Disney stock certificate, along with a DVD of Streisand's TV specializations "Color Me Barbra" and "My Name Is Barbra."
"I sent Gianna videos from my 2 albums where I played a little girl on the first TV show, singing special children's songs," Streisand said Monday through her spokeswoman, who confirmed the information in the post on Instagram at The Times. TV appearances were from 1965 and 1966.
Gianna's father, George, died on May 25 during an arrest in Minneapolis after an officer placed one knee on his neck and did not remove it despite prayers from Floyd, as he could not breathe. His assassination has sparked protests across the country as well as abroad.
Since then, Gianna has received more than $ 2.1 million in her name through a GoFundMe campaign, where her mother, Roxie Washington, commented last week.
"Thank you so much for the love and support," she said in a comment posted on GoFundMe. "We understand that people want to send letters, pictures or any gifts to my child. We appreciate that. Because of the love and support we feel all over the world, we are proud to announce a foundation we have created where supporters can send what they feel from the heart ... "
