The mother of an abortion survivor spoke when she discovered that her daughter was alive, 36 years after her mother, a nurse, performed the abortion against her will.

In 1977, Melissa Ohden from Missouri was struggling with life after giving birth to about 1.3 kg. Her mother, Ruth, was forced by her mother (who worked as a nurse in the hospital) to have an abortion when she was 8 months pregnant. Ruth left the hospital thinking she had aborted the baby, but the baby was alive and a nurse had heard her cry in the trash can where they had thrown it and taken it out.

After the nurse returned him to the hospital, Ruth's mother, who was the shift supervisor, ordered her to leave the baby in the room to die. Miraculously, the girl, now called Melissa, survived and was adopted very quickly.

Now her biological mother, Ruth, tells The Sun about the shock she experienced after reuniting with her daughter, who had been looking for her for two decades after learning that her mother was unaware of her existence. After the abortion, Ruth had abandoned her family, leaving forever.

"The day I learned that Melissa had survived an abortion performed by my mother was Sunday, August 2007. My twin sister, Mary called me in the afternoon. I felt like he wanted to tell me something serious, so I went to the bedroom. Mary told me my baby was alive. I thought how cruelly my sister was making fun of me. "

Now Ruth and Melissa have a close relationship. The most beautiful part of them was when they discovered the similarities and physical similarities they had with each other.

Melissa studied political science at the University of South Dakota and later learned that her mother, Ruth, had also studied there. Surprisingly, her grandmother, who had the abortion, was a lecturer at that university while Melissa was studying there.

She had experienced very badly the fact that she was an adopted child, thinking that her mother did not love her, but when she learned the truth, she did not stop until she found her biological mother.

Melissa had found her grandparents' contact and had written a letter to them, but only her grandfather responded, telling her that her mother had long since left them.

But one day, Ruth's cousin contacted her after learning that she had communicated with her grandfather. The cousin put the two in contact, after 17 years of research and since then they have become close friends.
